Occupational Therapists

Sharyn J. Rudofsky

OTR/L, Clinical Director

Sharyn has been a practicing board certified pediatric occupational therapist for 16 years. Sharyn received her degree in occupational therapy from New York University. She is licensed to practice in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York. Prior to founding OTAP, Sharyn worked as a Senior Occupational Therapist in the New York City Schools, as well as in schools in Bucks County, PA. She continues to provide early intervention services in NJ. Sharyn is a certified occupational therapy fieldwork educator who mentors interns and OT fieldwork students at OTAP.

Sharyn is the co-founder, of “The Write Time”, a multi-sensory workshop addressing developmental milestones necessary for successful handwriting, which has been presented statewide and nationally. She continues to present well-received seminars and workshops on sensory processing disorder to professionals and parents throughout New Jersey. She performs comprehensive evaluations for educational attorneys and advocates, and acts as an expert witness in court cases involving mandated services.

Donna Rubin

MA, OTR

Donna is a nationally board-certified occupational therapist. She graduated with a Masters of Arts at New York University. She has practiced in New Jersey for over 20 years in the Mercer County area and briefly in the San Mateo region of California. Her clinical background includes work in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), early intervention, pediatric outpatient clinic, and preschool, elementary middle and high school settings. Additionally, she has adult acute care hospital experience.

Pinky Parekh

OTR/L

Pinky P Parekh is a NBCOT certified and NJ licensed Pediatric Occupational Therapist. She has worked for 26 years as an Occupational Therapist. She completed her Bachelors in OT from G.S. Medical College, Parel, Mumbai, India. She graduated first from the Bombay University in 1995 and worked in Nanavati Hospital in their Outpatient Rehabilitation Department working with Indian movie stars, cricket personalities under the direct guidance of the Department Head Dr Ali Irani. She worked for a little over a year and half practicing in pediatrics, outpatient and inpatient in Nanavati.

She then worked in SNFs and Long term care facilities for about a year in Florida, before moving to the Princeton area to become a Rehab Director. She has worked per diem in Princeton Hospital and its satellites. In 2007, she moved to school based Occupational Therapy and started working for Greater Brunswick Charter School, runs her own devised gym and handwriting programs in local Preschools to build a good foundation for children ages 3-5. She also started her own small private practice in her basement around the same time and started consulting with OTAP around 2009. Currently, Pinky works extensively with students with cognitive issues, sensory processing difficulties, auditory processing issues and has been very successful in treating and collaborating with parents in home education. She also runs a series of early milestone development seminars and how to ensure optimum development for kids 0 to 5 in the local libraries.

SIPT, Handwriting Without Tears, The Listening Program, IM Specialist, Brain Trainer, and recently has received NJ Governer’s Educator Award in 2017. In 2016 and 2019, Pinky was nominated as NJ’s Top Doc by Family Magazine.

Fun Facts

Pinky has traveled all 7 continents and enjoys to explore the globe! She is an avid cruiser, bollywood movie fanatic and loves garba and ballroom dancing! She volunteers as a Girls who Code Mentor, South Brunswick High School’s Robotics Advisor and has been very successful in getting the club to Worlds in the last two years, since she incepted as a volunteer. She loves to volunteer in all her temple activities especially those related with art, music and dance. She is very religious and Jain by faith. She is fluent in English, Hindi, Gujarati and Marathi. She also understands a lot of Spanish now since she works at a Bilingual School. Her favorite sports are Cricket, Basketball and Football. Her favorite teams are the New England Patriots, Golden State Warriors, and she loves watching all India matches. Finally, her favorite Disney movie is the Lion King, Hakunmatata!

Daryl Arora

M.S., OTR/L

Born and raised in in NJ, Daryl received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biobehavioral Health and Minor in Psychology from Penn State University. She then ventured out west for graduate school, where she received her Master’s Degree from Dominican University of California. Prior to moving back to NJ in 2018, she was a California Licensed OT and practiced as a school based and clinic based pediatric therapist. She also worked per diem for a Skilled Nursing Faculty for older adults. When she returned to NJ be closer to family (and start a family), she worked full time in Early Intervention and part time at OTAP. Daryl shares that she is honored to have had the opportunity of working with children of all ages with a wide variety of diagnoses.

Fun Facts

Daryl love fitness! She loves going to the gym and competing at Spartan Races. Other hobbies include photography, going out to eat/traveling, and walking her dogs (Pug and German Shepherd). Daryl’s favorite sport is gymnastics! She was a competitive gymnast for 16 years and competed as a balance beam and floor exercise specialist for Penn State! Her second favorite sport is baseball, and she love the Yankees! Daryl’s Favorite Disney movie is Toy Story. She has a beautiful and spunky daughter named Sabre (born in 2019). Daryl states that it is amazing to watch her grow and explore the world around her. She also loves all of mom’s “OT” toys!

Jennifer Kraeuter

OTR/L

Jennifer is a nationally board-certified, registered and licensed occupational therapist. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Scranton in 2001. She has nearly 19 years of experience working in various therapeutic and education roles with children with a variety of physical, developmental and learning abilities. Jennifer has received training in the areas of sensory integration, Listening Progam, handwriting, autism, early childhood development, fine motor skills, reflex integration, visual processing and ocular motor skills, as well as Zones of Regulation. Jennifer’s career focus has been working with children to help them reach their maximum potential.

When not working, Jennifer is spending time with her husband and two children as well as her 2 cats. Jennifer loves pizza and ice cream, photography, hunting for sea glass and the beach in Maine. Her favorite Disney movie is: Frozen.

Chelsea Roszak

M.S., OTR/L

Chelsea is a national board-certified, registered and licensed occupational therapist. She received her undergraduate degree in Health & Exercise Science from The College of New Jersey and received her Masters in Occupational Therapy from New York University (NYU). Her clinical rotations included Bacharach Rehabilitation (treating conditions including stroke, TBI, Parkinson’s, and orthopedic injuries) and Bright Beginnings Learning Center treating children with Severe Physical Disabilities, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She also did a clinical rotation at Trinita’s Medical Center’s Psych Unit in Elizabeth, NJ. She joined the Howell Township School district in September 2018 to treat young children gain the foundational skills necessary to participate in school as independently as possible. Chelsea has been working at OTAP for two years treating children with varying abilities to develop necessary skills and learn strategies in order to gain independence in life skills and academic abilities.

Pamela Dorman

M.A., OTR/L

Pamela (Pam) has worked as an occupational therapist for children since the beginning of her career. During the last 25 years, Pam has worked in schools for children with special needs, in a neonatal intensive care unit, in clinics, and in early intervention programs. Prior to earning a Master’s of Occupational Therapy degree at University of Southern California, Pam taught special education for 3 years.

Pam has worked at OTAP for the past 7 years. Throughout her career, she has gained extensive experience working with children with developmental disabilities, cerebral palsy, and autism. In all of the settings where she has worked, Pam has emphasized the importance of helping families to develop ways to support their child’s progress at home and in their community.

Monica Kabow

MS, OTR/L

Monica graduated from Kean University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2012 and Master’s in Occupational Therapy in 2014. She has been a board certified occupational therapist for six years, with a primary focus on pediatrics. Monica has worked in Early Intervention as well as school settings, working closely with children and caregivers to facilitate fine motor and sensory regulation skills to be successful during everyday tasks. She participated in various continuing education courses including certifications for Zones of Regulation, Handwriting Without Tears. Monica is currently obtaining her certification for Sensory Integration via the University of Southern California.

Marjorie Wormser

OTR/L

Marjorie is a New Jersey Licensed Occupational Therapist, who is school certified in the State of New Jersey. Marjorie graduated from University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in occupational therapy, with post graduate clinical work in Philadelphia and San Francisco Bay Area. She completed her Masters Level course work at Columbia University Teacher’s College and University of Southern California. Marjorie trained with St. Joseph’s Medical Center in the treatment of feeding disorders and completed 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training via Integral Yoga Institute (IYI) and trained with Sonia Sumar in Yoga for The Special Child.

Marjorie provides Early Intervention Occupational Therapy in Middlesex, Morris and Somerset Counties. She has worked with pre-school and elementary school students in a variety of NJ school settings (public, private, out-of-district, after-school clinic, and extended school year). She has also treated adolescents with psycho-social dysfunction and treats children privately in a sensory gym in Somerville, NJ. Marjorie provides OT assessment and treatment strategies for children from birth through age 12, including adaptive yoga, music programs, and adapted Renaissance Fairs.

Mirnalini Vimal

DPT

Mirnalini is a NJ Board certified Physical Therapist and Early Intervention specialist. She graduated from A.T Still University, Mesa, Arizona with her Doctor of physical therapy degree in 2011. Mirnalini has worked with children from birth to all ages with a wide variety of diagnosis. She has treated a broad range of condition and injuries, which include the following conditions but not limited to:

Services

Physical Therapy screening to determine the need of PT services.

Physical Therapy Evaluation for 60-90 minutes to assess the areas of gross motor deficits. This includes an evaluation report and recommendation of goals and follow-ups.

Individualized Therapy sessions once or twice a week focusing on new skills helping your child achieve their gross motor goals.

If your child requires Orthosis, Braces or assistive mobility technology, we can make recommendations and place an order for one. We are affiliated with Harry and Lawall orthotics, who fabricate the orthosis /braces.

Office Manager

Susan has been with OTAP for six months. Before OTAP, she was a stay at home mom for 7 years. Susan is a mother of an 8 year old girl and a 6 year old son. She enjoy spending time with my family.

Tori Brokaw

BSW

Tori Brokaw is our evening receptionist. She graduated from Salisbury University in Maryland with a bachelor’s degree in Social Work.While handling all of the administrative work in the evening, she also makes it a point to greet all of the children. During the day, Tori works at Eden Autism Services as a Job Coach in the Transition to Employment Department. Tori is motivated to return to school to obtain a Masters in School Psychology.

Fun Facts

Tori enjoys traveling, going to the beach, and going to the spa. Her favorite football team is the Dallas Cowboy and her favorite Disney movie is Princess and the Frog.
